Məhsuldarlıq təcəssümünü ulu ana obrazında ifadə edən bu qadın fiqurları alimlərin fikrincə pərəstiş obyekti rolunu oynamışdır. 1967-1968-ci illərdə arxeoloq İdeal Nərimanovun Qarğalartəpəsi (Qazax) abidəsində apardığı arxeoloji qazıntılar zamanı tapılmış gil fiqur bu baxımdan çox maraqlıdır. Başsız və qolsuz, ayaqları bitişik, yarıoturmuş vəziyyətdə düzəldilmiş bu heykəlciyin boyun hissəsindəki dalğavari xətlər açılmış saçlara bənzəyir. | In the scientists’ opinion, these are the figures of mother goddesses worshipped by the ancient people as personifications of fertility and motherhood. In 1967-68, an interesting clay figure of this kind was discovered on Garghalartapasi site (Gazakh) by archaeologist Ideal Narimanov. The figure represents a female with no head and arms, sitting on Fowler’s position with joined legs. The female’s neck is decorated with wavy lines reminding of tresses. Scholar’s content the figure symbolizes a woman who let her hair down in a pray for rainfall.
